Currently seeking vendors from all walks of the arts that are producers of high quality handmade/crafted artisan wares. This is the 3rd year for this great event that attracts several thousand people each year. This is not a typical "arts & carfts" show as normally seen to day. This event and all others created by Grape Moments mission is to strive to create events of the arts that highlight the better, higher quality artisan and craftsman works.
Attendance for the past years has been on average around 1500-2000 attendees. Based on the survey feedback of the participating artists there was a large statistical amount of sales. Producers of the higher end articles in gem, gold and silver jewelers, original art painters accompanied by quality giclee prints, as well as exceptional craftsman in the area of woodworking at all levels, reported the highest sales averaging $800-$3000, the many other classifications of beaded jewelry, textiles, pottery, etc. reported sales averaging from $200-$700. If you are truly an experienced vendor you know that there is no rhyme or reason as to what items will be the "hot ticket items" of a show, what the year is bringing in meeting the wants and needs of the attendees, what creates the higher sales, why attendance is lower, are you do the correct marketing, did the producers of the event do enough advertising, and the list goes on and on. It is always difficult with the beginnings of shows of this type to grow in attendance and get the attention we all desire. Statistics show that it takes an average of 5-7 years to reach somewhat of a pinnacle overall. Finding a date within the short weather season available in these parts that isn't already taken up is virtually impossible. You will find with this show that it does conflict with the last weekend of the Lilac Festival, it is a weekend filled with numerous college graduations, and of course those whom with hopeful good weather would rather be home preparing their summer cottages, early yard work and more. However, what we have found is the wonderful feedback to those that chose to join us and would have normally attended the Lilac Festival were thrilled to see new faces, new artistic offerings, beautiful landscape, and a wonderful tourist community.
Another great advantage to this show is we stick to our commitment of quality. We don't just accept those last minute handcrafts, bottle cap jewelry just so that the promotors can get rich. In fact we keep the booth fees lower than most in order to allow the vendors to have an opportunity to really be seen, talk to the buyers, and still make some money. And best of all the profits of the event are donated to organizations whom truly give back to the communities and the families. We are confident that you are the key to growing remarkable events that will be enjoyed by so many, and Remember we are currently facing one of the largest financial and world unrest that has been seen, gasoline prices are soaring daily, unemployment and the housing market are more challenged daily and the effects are wide spread. Like you Grape Moments is committed to chugging through these difficult times and taking this opportunity to bring everyone beauty in a lasting set of products and add enjoyment to families lives.
Art organizations, galleries, non-profit organizations, businesses are invited to apply as a collaborative effort or as sponsors. Demonstrations are allowed and encouraged.
